There are 3 galleries below which will help you choose the suitable cotton fabric for your walking jacket.

 

Light, medium or heavy.

Lighter fabrics such as cotton drill usually are softer than cotton duck.

However, in saying that, I have found some cotton duck prints just as soft.

Medium fabric will typically be a cotton duck, which normally has a high thread count and is strongly woven. It is medium weight yet still soft.

Heavy will be your cotton canvas materials, great if you want extra durability and warmth.
